Sun and wind now provide the most cost-effective form of energy. Zonneplan ensures its customers smartly benefit from this. Together, they are actively involved in the electrification of the Netherlands. Since 2012, Zonneplan has equipped more than 85,000 homes with solar panels. With their innovative approach, they have become one of the fastest-growing companies in the Netherlands and Europe.

We were tasked with creating an explainer video to clarify what smart energy means for Zonneplan and the added value compared to competitors in the field of (smart) energy. The goal was to be informative while combining a distinctive style in terms of audio and animation.

By visualizing the entire production process, the viewer essentially gets a glimpse behind the scenes. In the film, the passion of each individual is visible in every phase of the process. The film concludes with the completion of the process, showcasing the product ready for shipment to retailers across Europe.

The custom-produced music follows the storyline of the film, both in structure and style. Images with an authentic vibe are accompanied by music created with classical instrumentation, matching the emotion of the story. These scenes are briskly alternated with images featuring a contemporary look, and the music also undergoes a clear transition to a modern style. This approach resulted in a recognizable and dynamic entirety where two musical concepts are combined.

In addition to the explainer videos, we crafted a billboard animation for TV, drawing inspiration from the 3D animation style we meticulously developed.
