MAD is a specialized 3D motion design studio in Almelo (Twente). Our typical 3D production process begins by ingesting client CAD files—cleaning up technical geometry, applying custom-built materials, or recreating photorealistic texture properties directly from physical models and reference photography. Once the 3D model is prepped, we design cinematic lighting setups. Much like live-action film, we create dark environments using backlights, rim lights, and fill setups to reveal product designs with photorealistic precision.

>From photorealistic 3D stills used in brochures and online presentations to full launch and reveal videos, we extract dynamic standalone video assets engineered for maximum visual impact. We love unraveling how complex machinery works, capturing not just what a product does, but deeply understanding the audience who uses it. Combined with spatial audio design, we build photorealistic visual experiences—from industrial hardware to abstract design—for global innovators like ABB E-Mobility, Malvern Panalytical, Svedex, and Thales.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We translate CAD models or physical prototypes into photorealistic 3D assets. Using Cinema 4D and Redshift rendering, we showcase complex internal engineering, custom materials, and explosive exploded-views. Check out our 3D animation page for the full overview.
Turnaround time depends on the scope and complexity. A focused motion design or social campaign typically takes 2–4 weeks, while full brand movies or multi-location commercial productions range between 6–10 weeks. Check our process.
Yes. We specialize in high-end technical 3D visualisations—animating internal components, and mechanical assemblies. Check out our 3D animation page for the full overview.
Not necessarily. While working from existing CAD files (like STEP or IGES formats) accelerates production, our 3D team can also model assets from scratch using photo references, blueprints and/or spec sheets. Check out our 3D animation page for the full overview.
We film in cinema-grade 4K/8K formats (RAW/ProRes), render 3D scenes using Cinema 4D & Redshift, and perform all editing, finishing, and color grading inside DaVinci Resolve. Check our process
